Grant & Sloane's 1st Day of School

Grant started the 2nd grade a couple of weeks ago.  As you can see from the photo he looked like Rocky after a fall from his bicycle.  Sloane started Preschool a few days later and has now become quite the fashionista and picks out her own outfits!  Some days are better then others!  They are both enjoying school very much and mom is enjoying a little quiet time as well!

Back to School...OSU

Well...it's that time again.

School started on Monday, and I am already soo busy. My classes are pretty good, even my BUG class, and DDD is good too.

I have 43 new members that I am basically in charge of for the next eight weeks. It has already proven to be quite a task, but I am starting to see how rewarding this office really is.

This weekend me and a bunch of girls are going to Tahlequah to float the river! Then Rebecca is the first one to turn 21 that evening...CRAZY!

....Kinda weird to think that I am a Junior in College. I definitely feel old...HAHA

First week of August Update:

Herb & Corky are in Colorado. Stayed in Canon City the first night (near the Royal Gorge). Then they are actually going on to Selida, CO where their show is.

Jan Streeter had a birthday on August 1 - she is way old!

Lori & I are celebrating our 23rd anniversary today (Aug 2). Real romantic - I am smoking beef & pork ribs and bacon rapped jalapenos stuffed with philly cream chease & crab meat. In the smoker world these are known as ABT's (Atomic Buffalo Turds) Although you can stuff with many different items.

As you can see by the August Event list, August is a busy month in our families. Lots more birthdays starting with Stan's on the 11th.

Lori will be flying to Cheynne next Sunday morning (Aug 9th). It is Wyoming's State Fair in Douglas, WY and both Claire & Lauren have qualified from their local fair to participate in the State Fair. Stan & Marty will also join her there.

Terrapins had their local fair in Alma, KS last week. Nick & Alli both had hogs. Heard they did well & both brought good money at the sale. I also hear that Alli did very well showing her new horse Teddy!

Oh, for those of you that haven't heard - Layne has already wrecked Lori's new Mazda last week. She was going to work at Hawaiian Falls and a 17 yr old boy (another employee) was backing out of his parking spot and hit Layne as she was going by. Got the Front Door, Back Door & Rear Quarter Panel. Yep did it up real good! It was not Layne's fault and the other boys dad cam down there immediately, and even though it was in a parking lot, they took full responsibility and their insurance will fully cover the damage.

Lori has been busy taking classes through "Right Management" . They are a career transition company and this is part of her severance with Ford. She will go several days again this coming week before she leaves for WY. Speaking of Ford has anyone watched their stock price. They should have let Lori go along time ago!!! It has gone from 0.99 in Feb to 8.00 on the close Friday! If it doubles again we will be back to where we were 5 years ago!!

Fred - whats up in Minnesota?
